Ryan was born in West Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from USC – Aiken with a degree in History. He moved to Charleston, South Carolina when he passed the bar in 2016. He currently lives in Charleston with his wife Catherine. He is an avid piano player in his spare time.

History: While attending law school, Ryan was a research assistant for Professor Jacqueline Fox. Further, Ryan attended the Yale Bioethics Seminar in the summer of 2015.  Ryan practiced in Insurance Litigation at Hood Law Firm until 2020 and moved to McAngus Goudelock & Courie until 2022 when he joined Clarkson Walsh Coulter, P.A.
